Enlace Team: B2B migration from Magento 1.9.4 to Adobe Commerce 2.4.1
Enlace Team: we migrated its B2B site from Magento 1.9.4 to Adobe Commerce 2.4.1, integrated it with NetSuite and cut data imports from hours to minutes.

On this page
Enlace Team launched its B2B commerce site on Magento in 2017. We at WolfSellers migrated it in 2021 from Magento 1.9.4 to Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento) 2.4.1. We also integrated it both ways with the NetSuite ERP, connected it to carriers such as Estafeta and Paquete Express, and cut data imports from hours to minutes.
Project overview
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Client | Enlace Team (TeamNet) |
| Industry | B2B commerce, with its own site since 2017 |
| Project type | Platform migration, redesign and integrations |
| Platform | Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento) 2.4.1, from Magento 1.9.4 |
| What WolfSellers did | Migrated modules, features and business rules; redesigned the site; built integrations; optimized data imports |
| Integrations | NetSuite ERP (operated by Netsoft), bidirectional; carriers such as Estafeta and Paquete Express |
| Timeline | Migration from early 2021 to October 2021; the collaboration was still ongoing in July 2024 |

The challenge
By late 2020, Enlace Team's site was still running on Magento 1.9.4. That version had become obsolete and no longer delivered the features or the performance that its clients' growing demand called for.
The project could not stop at a version change. Every module, every feature and every business rule on the site had to move to the new platform, keeping what already worked and improving operational efficiency.

The solution
Migration from Magento 1.9.4 to Adobe Commerce 2.4.1
The migration started in early 2021 and was completed in October of that year. We analyzed every module and feature on the site, adapted them to version 2.4.1 following coding and performance best practices, and carried every business rule over to the new version.
ERP and carrier integrations
- ERP: bidirectional integration with NetSuite, operated by Netsoft.
- Shipping: integration with carriers such as Estafeta and Paquete Express, for more efficient logistics management.
- Contracts: semi-automated contract creation with service platforms.
Data imports
We optimized the site's data import processes. Their run time dropped from hours to minutes, and the site became faster for the people who buy on it.
New design
Alongside the migration, we refreshed the site's design, its look and feel.

Results
- Migration completed: the site moved to Adobe Commerce 2.4.1 in October 2021 and kept its essential features.
- Data imports: went from taking hours to taking minutes.
- Connected systems: the site was integrated both ways with NetSuite, and with carriers such as Estafeta and Paquete Express for shipping.
When we published the first version of this case study, in July 2024, we were still working with Enlace Team: we were negotiating a new version upgrade and planning a Progressive Web App (PWA) to improve site performance.

What applies to other B2B migrations
- A Magento 1 migration is an inventory, not a version change. At Enlace Team we reviewed module by module and rule by rule before moving them to Adobe Commerce.
- Integrations are part of the solution. The ERP and the carriers were connected as part of the same site transformation.
- Internal processes count too. Data imports were one of the most significant improvements in the project.
